Swabian restaurant, Swabian cuisine, with a modern twist – high quality yet down-to-earth, using regional and seasonal ingredients: in our restaurant we place importance on supreme enjoyment in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. You are welcome to chat and laugh, toast and celebrate, with family, with friends, in company or even on a night out by yourself. We provide the ideal setting, with outstanding food and select drinks!
Head Chef Klaus Winter stands for modern German cuisine and also features Swabian classics on the menu. In addition, he is a passionate hunter, so our menu also always features Dishes with game from our own shoot find. Generally speaking, our chefs place great importance on a strong connection to our homeland; almost all the ingredients in our kitchen come from the region. We cook uncompromisingly only with fresh ingredients and dispense with convenience products and flavour enhancers.

Events in our building
At our Country Hotel Winter there is actually something going on all year round. We love being hosts and, alongside the classic dates like Easter, Christmas or New Year's Eve, we regularly come up with special experiences for you. In doing so, we utilise every corner of our hotel so that you can discover something new time and time again.
In the summer we meet on the terrace for relaxed barbecues in the open air, whilst in the cooler season it gets really cosy in the restaurant with our cheese fondue evenings or special set-menu evenings. A real highlight too are the hours spent in our wine cellar: here we invite you to wine tastings where you can discover new favourite wines in a relaxed group. It is important to us that you simply feel at ease at these events and have an honest, good time with us. You will find an accessible toilet on the ground floor near the terrace and the main restaurant.
Please let us know when making your reservation if you are bringing a dog. We have two dining rooms: dogs are allowed in one, while the other remains dog-free. That way, we can find the ideal spot for you!

For those who particularly love a traditional and cosy vibe, our rustic wine cellar is a real highlight. Whether it is a small, intimate gathering or a larger party – we have the ideal space for groups of various sizes.

We love our regional roots, but we also enjoy a trip into other cuisines – for instance, into light, fresh Mediterranean cooking. Look forward to familiar classics that we interpret with a modern twist and prepare with great attention to detail!
Do you cook with fresh ingredients or convenience foods?
This is extremely important to us: we cook exclusively with fresh ingredients and avoid convenience products. Everything we make is homemade, and every single vegetable is peeled and chopped by hand.
This freshness and quality are so important to us that it is one of the main reasons why many guests and regular customers keep coming back to us.
Can I park right by the restaurant?
Yes, plenty of free parking spaces are available directly at the Winter restaurant and country hotel. You can park with us easily and free of charge.
Is there a dress code in your restaurant?
During the day we are totally relaxed, especially at weekends: walkers and cyclists in their sportswear often pop by. That's no problem at all for us!
However, in the evening we want to create a cosy and at the same time stylish atmosphere for all guests. We would be delighted if you would then wear Smart Casual puts.
Do you have an outside area or a terrace?
Definitely! We have a gorgeous south-facing terrace. Especially in summer, it's a fantastic spot to enjoy your food. There, you can sit comfortably with a wonderful panoramic view of the valley, and our large parasols provide pleasant shade. We have flexible tables for two to six people on the terrace, and if you're a larger group, just let us know – we're happy to rearrange the tables for you.
Is the restaurant accessible?
We want everyone to feel comfortable here! That is why we put a lot of thought into the design.
The larger dining area, which leads directly onto our lovely terrace, is fully accessible for you. You will also find the accessible toilet on this level.
In the second, slightly smaller dining room, we unfortunately have a few steps. It is best to let us know when making your reservation if you require step-free access. Then we will make sure to set up a great table for you in the appropriate area.
Are dogs allowed?
We have two dining areas and therefore a great solution for everyone: dogs are very welcome in one of our restaurants! The other area (the accessible restaurant) is dog-free.
Please let us know when making your reservation if you will be accompanied by a dog.
Do you offer vegetarian or vegan dishes?
Yes, you'll always find vegetarian dishes on the menu, and sometimes vegan ones too.
If you follow a vegan diet, just let us know before your visit. We are flexible and will be more than happy to prepare something suitable and delicious for you. Just speak to us!
Does the restaurant cater for food intolerances or allergies?

Yes, with us you can purchase a voucher for the restaurant. It is best to order it in advance, because we always package the vouchers nicely.
